small bites workshop

The Binnacle Room, Pool & Yacht ClubWe all had a wonderful time at the Small Bites Needlepoint Workshop this weekend!  Our instructor, Diane, guided everyone through the stitch guide and demonstrated some of the trickier stitches and embellishments.  The canvas and stitch guide are 3 Kittens Needle Arts exclusives – a team collaboration with Raymond Crawford and the 3K Staff of Diane, Olivia, Sara and Julie.  We held the workshop on Saturday at the Pool & Yacht Club in Lilydale in their Binnacle Room.  With windows on three sides, we had tons of natural light and all enjoyed a view of the Mississippi River.

Plenty of room to spread out and stitch!

We even noshed on appetizers during our break – yummy!  There is even talk of planning a Fall  Stitching Cruise on the River – stay tuned for details!

The last meeting of our group of knitters working on the mystery shawl, Rockefeller, by Stephen West was yesterday evening. None of us are finished, of course, since the last clue just came out yesterday, but I thought you might like to see a photo of our progress!
